Where's she going???

I'll be flying via Paris to Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon, arriving on January 31st. From there I'll take the train to Ngaoundere (look northern midcountry). My West Africa travel book talks about the train leaving Yaounde at 6pm and getting into Ngd about 11am, but since the train is old and often derails, it can sometimes take 3 days to get there. But they take the "glass half full" approach to this, emphasizing how much more of the country one is able to see that way!
As my dear friend Katie says, "Stay open to the journey, not just the destination." (or something like that.)

I will also have a companion with me on the journey: Paul Haman who works at the Protestant Hospital, will be traveling back with me on the train and has agreed to help me to navigate my way around. Although I have started on my Pimsleur French language CDs, I have a ways to go. I am really trying to perfect the phrase: I understand a little French:
"Je comprends un peu le francais." Or rather, very little French.
